Good posture is essentially is having excellent alignment of joints throughout the body. Lessening stress on joints and reducing chronic, unnecessary, muscular tension, is a huge benefit of good “postural alignment.” Here are a few quick tips for now:
1. Stand and walk with your toes pointed slightly in (not out!). (For walking with good alignment, focus on pushing off with the back foot rather than lifting and kicking forward with the front foot.)
2. Lift your shoulders up, pull them back, and DROP them down. This lifts the rib cage up, relieves slouching shoulders, and places the torso over the pelvis.
