To be freely given something that brings joy is a gift. To freely give what is needed by someone is a gift. I hope a time comes when people do not wait to give gifts, but the network of human life simply includes this as what humans always do as part of their own humanity — giving to others to bring them joy and meet a need. I give these “gifts” in the hopes that humanity will take this next step into this. And, the next step includes humanity on a whole giving to other life and this planet what it needs to thrive. Humanity now is rapidly developing the means to do this, as well as the consciousness to do this.
